New Bangs Design is boutique interior design studio out of Minneapolis, MN. Design lead, Bethany Whitworth, specializes in highly personalized design and nuanced color work. Our business model makes custom design accessible, exciting and ecologically responsible. With holistic good as our banner, our designs wrap themselves around our client’s lives to foster joy, calm and pride in the spaces they occupy.

 

Doing something you love
is the dream. 

My name is Bethany - Wisconsinite by birth, Minnesotan by residence. If you're here, the big pay-off is that I’m an interior designer and color consultant, but here’s the backstory -

After many years of indecision and a convincing conversation at the salon, I decided to try bangs. (GASP!) I loved it and wished I’d done it way sooner. It was a little move, but it helped me see the many things I (wasn’t) doing because I was too afraid to try.

A small town upbringing afforded me two important skills - creativity and problem solving. For lack of options, I made what I wanted to see. I spent my time rearranging the furniture in our house because I wanted it to work and to be beautiful too. There were no big box stores in town, so I searched for treasure at garage sales and Goodwill - it helped me understand the value of craftsmanship and how to maximize what you have to make spaces that work well and are a unique reflection of the people who bring them to life!

Today, I put my design degree, experience in project management and a working knowledge of the industry to good use for each of my clients.
